ADCC, UFC and Church Meetings

Wow, tonight is packed with MMA and Jiu Jitsu events!  UFC 166 is going live from Houston Texas.  The event features four of the top heavy weight fighters in the world with the main event being the rubber match World Championship between Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos.  One I am looking forward to is Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez, this one should be an intense slug fest.

Also going down tonight is the Semi-finals and finals of the ADCC live from China.  I watched the first night of action last night, the production was less than perfect.  I am still looking forward to all the entertaining match ups, here is tonight’s Semi-final brackets.

Male

+99kg: Jared Dopp vs. Joao Gabriel Rocha / Marcus Almeida vs. Roberto Cyborg Abreu
-99kg: Dean Lister vs. Cristiano Lazzarini / Joao Assis vs. Leonardo Nogueira
-88kg: Pablo Popovitch vs. Rafael Lovato Jr. / Keenan Cornelius vs. Romulo Barral
-77kg: Kron Gracie vs. JT Torres / Leo Vieira vs. Otavio Sousa
-66kg: Rafael Mendes vs. Joao Miyao / Rubens Cobrinha Charles vs. Justin Rader

Female

+60kg: Gabi Garcia vs. Tammy Griego / Maria Malyjasiak vs. Fernanda Mazelli
-60kg: Michelle Nicolini vs. Seiko Yamamoto / Ana Michelle Tavares vs. Luanna Alzuguir

So the big question is which one should I watch?  I think that I would have to choose the UFC, the reason being such poor quality of the ADCC event.

I don’t have to make that decision though… I am part of a men’s group from Church and we have a scheduled meeting tonight.  As much as it is going to kill me, the withdrawals are going to be unbearable, but I live a life dominated by Jiu Jitsu and MMA and sometimes I need to make sure my priorities are right.  It always good to try and find a balance in life.
