M1 Global

Had a great time at M1 Global’s show at the new venue at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.  The facility makes for a great place to watch fights.  I don’t think there was a bad seat in the house last night.  We had argueably some of the best, our seats were right in the middle about ten rows up.  It was easy to stay on top of the action for us, for some reason the refs had a lot harder time.  There were several questionable breaks and odd stand ups and recovery times allowed.

It is always fun to go watch fights when you know some of the fighters.  Last night the two guys I know both pulled out subsmissions in the first two minutes of round one.  Congrats to Daniel Madrid, Instructor at Grace Fighting Systems in Phoenix on his Armbar.  Also Yasubey Enomoto made short work of his oponent after sinking in a triangle.

In the main event Vinny Megalheas was losing on my card going into the third to the challenger.  Vinny, the Jiu Jitsu fighter, landed an incredible head kick to retain his belt.
